A likely national ranked team is coming to Roosevelt.
Roosevelt as part of unveiling its 2027 schedule announced it will have a home non-conference match against Lewis during the opening week of the season.
This home opener has the chance to be the first time in its program’s seven-year history that the Lakers will play host to a Division I-II ranked team.
Lewis ended last season at No. 14 in the national coaches poll and upset Lindenwood in the postseason to reach the MIVA Tournament semifinals. Among the starters returning for the Flyers includes All-MIVA selection Cameron Hoying who was recently named to the U.S. roster for the U23 Pan American Cup.
Roosevelt last season set a single-season program record with 16 victories en route to its first winning season in program history. The Lakers also finished in fourth place in the GLVC and qualified for the four-team GLVC Tournament.
Along with the team accolades, Kelly Magliano was named the 2026 Co-GLVC Coach of the Year.
This will be the third all-time meeting between the Flyers and Lakers. Lewis is undefeated in the series history, including a sweep against Roosevelt last season.
