Add one more national honor to the college resume of UCLA setter Andrew Rowan.
Off the Block announced Tuesday that a nationwide voting committee selected Rowan as the recipient of the 2026 Lloy Ball Award.
The Lloy Ball Award, which is named after the former Purdue Fort Wayne All-American and U.S. Olympian setter, is presented to the nation’s best setter in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season.
Rowan led the nation with an 11.37 assists per game average and guided the UCLA offense to a nation-best .380 attack percentage. The senior also was fifth in the nation with a 0.52 aces per game average as the Bruins won the MPSF championship and earned the No. 1 overall seed to the NCAA Tournament.
The voting committee for the Lloy Ball Award was comprised of coaches and media members from around the nation. The top-three vote-getters were named finalists.
Rowan garnered 42 votes – more votes than the other two finalists received combined. Hawai’i setter Tread Rosenthal for the second consecutive year was the runner-up, while Ball State setter Lucas Machado finished in third place.
This is the 13th year that Off the Block has presented the Lloy Ball Award.
