The top offensive player in the nation is capping off the season with a national accolade.
Off the Block announced Wednesday that a nationwide voting committee selected the Pepperdine opposite Cole Hartke as the recipient of the 2025 Bryan Ivie Award.
The Bryan Ivie Award, which is named after the former USC All-American and U.S. Olympian, is presented to the nation’s best opposite in NCAA men’s volleyball during the regular season.
Hartke led the nation averaging 4.30 kills per game and was in the nation’s top 20 with a .352 attack percentage. The opposite also had at least 20 kills in seven matches, including 23 kills against Ball State in the NCAA Tournament regional finals.
Along with the offensive performance, Hark was in the nation’s top 15 with a 0.47 aces per game average.
The voting committee for the Bryan Ivie Award was comprised of coaches and media members from around the nation. The top three vote-getters were named finalists for the award.
Hartke earned 36 votes to edge out the runner-up CSUN opposite Jalen Phillips by 23 votes. Hawai’i opposite Kristian Titriyski finished in third place.
This is the 12th year that Off the Block has presented the Bryan Ivie Award.
