Ball State outside Rogers wins 2026 Karch Kiraly Award

A career season for Ball State outside attacker Patrick Rogers is ending with one of the top in college men’s volleyball.

Off the Block announced Thursday that a nationwide voting committee selected Rogers as the recipient of the Karch Kiraly Award..

The Karch Kiraly Award, which is named after the former UCLA All-American and U.S. Olympian, is presented to the nation’s best outside attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season.

Rogers was third in the nation with a 3.98 kills per game average and was in the nation’s top 10 with a .399 attack percentage. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills and hit at least .400 in 15 matches to help Ball State reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022.

The senior also was in the nation’s top 20 with a 0.46 aces per game average and had back-to-back aces in the fifth-game overtime as Ball State defeated Pepperdine in the NCAA Tournament regional finals.

The voting committee for the Karch Kiraly Award was comprised of coaches and media members from around the nation. The top three vote-getters were named finalists for the Karch Kiraly Award.

Rogers received 33 votes, while USC outside attacker and UCLA outside attacker Sean Kelly both finished tied for second place with 14 votes.

This is the 12th year that Off the Block has presented the Karch Kiraly Award.
