All-American setter Micah Ma’a had a season-high 55 assists and guided the offense to hit .475 as No. 6/6 UCLA defeated UC San Diego 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21 on Saturday in La Jolla, California.

The Bruins switching from a traditional 6-2 offense to a 5-1 system had three players with double-digit kills, including opposite Christiain Hessenauer who had a match-best 15 kills. In addition, outside attacker Dylan Missry had 11 kills and led all players with four aces, while outside attacker Jake Arnitz added 12 kills.
