The Farm will feature part of a big apple during the upcoming season.
Manhattan as part of unveiling its 2027 schedule announced that it will play a non-conference road match against Stanford on Feb. 18.
This will not only be the first time the second-year program will play the Cardinal but will be the first time it will travel to the West Coast.
Manhattan in its inaugural season finished in a three-way tie for fourth place in the NEC and missed the final berth to the four-team conference because of a tiebreaker. Among the starters slated to return for the Jaspers includes outside attacker Kasen Owens who had a team-high 2.54 kills per game average last season.
The Jaspers in the offseason also added former transfer libero Luca Colombo. Colombo in two seasons at Mount Olive won back-to-back ConfCarolinas Defensive Player of the Year and ended last season third in the nation with a 2.75 digs per game average.
Stanford ended the 2026 season at No. 16 in the national coaches poll and lost in the MPSF Tournament quarterfinals. Jacob Little-Phillips was named to the MPSF All-Freshman Team as the setter guided the Cardinal to a .275 attack percentage.
The match at Stanford will be the opener of a three-match Northern California road trip for Manhattan.
Manhattan will play UC Merced before closing out the four-day road trip against Pacific.
