United States unveils roster for U21 Pan American Cup

A U.S. roster primarily comprised of college men’s volleyball players is set for an upcoming international tournament.

USA Volleyball announced during the weekend the 14-player roster for the U21 Pan American Cup.

UCLA led all players schools with three current players and high school commit for the 2028 season making the U.S. roster. Hawai’i, Penn State and USC also had multiple players make the team.

Along with these schools, Long Beach State, Pepperdine, Stanford and UC Irvine are each represented on the team.

The U.S. roster was selected from a preliminary roster of 24 players following a weeklong training camp in Colorado. All but three of the players picked for the final roster have previously represented the United States at international tournaments.

The U21 Pan American Cup will take place in Guatemala with pool-play matches starting on Wednesday. The United States will play the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela in pool-play.

The United States has won the gold medal in two of the last three U21 Pan American Cup events dating back to 2022.
