USA Volleyball announced on Wednesday its 20-player training roster for the upcoming international tournament.

This U.S. roster is comprised of both high school players and incoming college freshmen. Among the older players on the team includes incoming recruits for Hawai’i, Long Beach State, Princeton and UC Santa Barbara.

The team under Springfield head coach Charlie Sullivan will begin an eight-day training session starting July 22 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The coaching staff towards the end of the training block will determine a final 12-player roster for the U19 World Championship.

The United States has won back-to-back U19 Pan American Cup gold medals, including not losing a set at the 2022 event en route to earning a U19 World Championship berth.

The U19 World Championship will begin Aug. 2 in San Juan, Argentina. The United States best all-time finish at the U19 World Championship was seventh place
