Pepperdine out-hit USC .315 to .292, and Wieczorek was one of two Waves that had double-digit kills. Outside attacker Alex Harthaller contributed 13 kills on a .440 attack percentage and a match-high three aces to help the Waves secure their first postseason home match since 2015.

Outside attacker Jack Wyett in the loss led USC with 14 kills, while libero Cole Paxson led all players defensively with 11 digs.

Pepperdine following this victory moves one-and-half matches behind first-place No. 2/2 BYU and secures at least a top-three finish in the MPSF.
