    The end of the regular season is here and the finale has the potential for plenty of drama.

    No. 2 UC Irvine and Penn State will met in a possible preview to the Final Four, while Cal State Northridge and Hawai’i continue their push to clinch the final berth in the MPSF Tournament. In addition, Pfeiffer will attempt to repeat as conference champions as it plays Limestone in the Conference Carolinas Tournament championship match.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    It’s the final Wednesday of the regular season, and it’s so big it warrants a top-five match breakdown.

    No. 3 UCLA will try to clinch a home match in the MPSF Tournament and remain in contention for the only at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as it plays No. 5 Pepperdine. In addition, the Conference Tournament resumes tonight with both semifinal matches.

  • Conference Carolinas announces 2013 All-Conference awards

    The regular season champions Mount Olive earned the most all-conference selections, but Pfeiffer won the biggest Conference Carolinas individual award.

    The league announced Friday afternoon that Pfeiffer outside attacker Caleb Brophy earned the 2013 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    Talk about growing the game: the top college men’s volleyball matches this weekend span across six time zones.

    Out on the East Coast four teams will vie to win the Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic title, while on the islands Hawai’i will attempt to pull off its third consecutive upset against a top-five nationally ranked team.

  • Mount Olive preseason pick to win Conference Carolinas title

    After losing in the conference championship match last year, Mount Olive is the preseason favorite to win the Conference Carolinas championship in the upcoming season.

    Mount Olive received four of the nine first-place votes to narrowly edge out second-place Pfeiffer and finish atop the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches Poll that was released Monday.

    Tons of teams enter a season with preseason hype, but then there are those teams that enter with little expectations and surprise everyone

    Whether it was Harvard finishing last season ranked in the national coaches poll or UC Santa Barbara’s run to the 2011 NCAA championship match last season, each season always has men’s volleyball teams that surprise everyone.

  • Pfeiffer names U.S. Sitting Team assistant Walker as new head coach

    A USA Volleyball coach with the national sitting team will now become the head coach of the defending Conference Carolinas champions.

    The Pfeiffer athletics department announced earlier this week that Greg Walker will be the new head coach of the Falcons men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming season.

  • Pfeiffer middle attacker dies in car crash during weekend

    A Pfeiffer middle attacker was killed during the weekend as a result of a car accident.

    Lance Johnson, a junior, died in a one-car accident Sunday near his home in Pennsylvania, according to the Pfeiffer athletics department.

  • Pfeiffer sweeps Mount Olive to win Conference Carolinas championship

    Pfeiffer for the first time in its program history is Conference Carolinas champions.

    Outside attacker Caleb Brophy had a match-high 17 kills as Pfeiffer swept Mount Olive 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 in the Conference Carolinas championship match on Wednesday in Misenheimer, N.C.

  • Conference Carolinas announces 2012 All-Conference awards

    Pfeiffer after winning its first conference regular seson championship in program history received two of the biggest individual honors from the Conference Carolinas.

    Steve Bintz was named Coach of the Year and outside attacker Quentin Moore earned Co-Player of the Year honors with Limestone outside attacker Scott Warren as the Conference Carolinas revealed its all-conference awards Friday.
