Conference Carolinas announces 2012 All-Conference awards

Pfeiffer after winning its first conference regular seson championship in program history received two of the biggest individual honors from the Conference Carolinas.

Steve Bintz was named Coach of the Year and outside attacker Quentin Moore earned Co-Player of the Year honors with Limestone outside attacker Scott Warren as the Conference Carolinas revealed its all-conference awards Friday.

Bintz in his first year at Pfeiffer guided the Falcons to a program-record 19 victories — an 11-win improvement form last season. In addition, Pfeiffer in early March was on a nation-best 11-match winning streak.

Moore led the conference and was in the nation’s top 25 with a 3.44 kills per game average. He also had 16 matches with at least 10 kills, including a career-high 20 in a victory against Stevens Tech.

Warren ended the regular season among the conference’s top five with a 2.99 kills per game average and a 1.13 blocks per game average.
