    The head coach at a NAIA men’s volleyball powerhouse will be taking over at Lindenwood.

    The Lindenwood athletics department announced Wednesday that it hired former Clarke coach Kris Dorn to be the school’s new head coach for the upcoming season.

  • Brazil dashes U.S. medal hopes at World Championship

    The medal-less drought for the United States at the World Championship lives on.

    The United States was eliminated from medal contention as it lost in the Round of 16 to Brazil 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22 on Wednesday in Turkey at the FIVB U21 Men’s Junior World Championship.

  • World Championship playoff match to follow: USA vs. Brazil

    Following four challenging preliminary round matches, the United States is now in position to secure spot in the World Championship quarterfinals but will have to defeat one of the top volleyball nations in the world to earn the berth.

    The U.S. Men’s Junior National Team will play Brazil in the Round of 16 at the FIVB U21 Men’s Junior World Championship on Tuesday and try to move one step closer to capturing the nation’s first medal at this international tournament.

  • BYU’s Patch pounds Canada in US sweep at World Championship

    In the biggest preliminary round match for the United States, BYU opposite Ben Patch showed why he was an All-American selection as a true freshman.

    Patch had a match-high 19 kills as the United States swept Canada 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 on Monday in Turkey to clinch a No. 2 seed for the playoff round at the FIVB Men’s U21 Junior World Championship.

  • Former Lewis player Skweres promoted to Limestone head coach

    A former outside attacker at Lewis’ club team will take over the Limestone men’s volleyball program for the upcoming season.

    Limestone announced earlier this week that assistant coach Brandon Skweres has been promoted to the team’s head coach for the 2014 season.

  • Tunisia upsets United States in World Championship preliminary round

    The path for the United States to win the Junior World Championship just got a lot more challenging.

    The United States lost its second consecutive preliminary round match as it was upset by Tunisia 25-23, 25-19, 16-25, 25-21 on Sunday in Turkey at the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship.

  • US hits setback at World Championship, loses to Serbia

    A personal tournament-best performance from BYU opposite Ben Patch was not enough to prevent the United States from getting swept.

    Patch had a team-high 13 kills as the United States lost to Serbia 25-23, 25-22, 25-17 on Friday in Turkey for its first preliminary round loss at the FIVB U21 Men’s Junior World Championship.

  • Loyola outside Jaescke leads U.S. to opening win at World Championship

    Loyola outside attacker Thomas Jaeschke wasn’t the biggest name on the U.S. roster entering the World Championship, but he played like it in the team’s opener.

    Jaeschke had a match-high 14 kills and four blocks as the United States defeated Rwanda 25-11, 25-18, 27-29, 25-14 on Thursday in Turkey to open the preliminary round of the FIVB U21 Men’s Junior World Championship.

  • Grand Canyon, Stanford agree to play non-conference match in 2014

    A potential threat of Pac-12 schools boycotting Grand Canyon in all sports will not stop Stanford from scheduling the newest NCAA Division I men’s volleyball team for the upcoming season.

    Grand Canyon coach Jeremy Price said in a recent interview with Off the Block that the Antelopes will play a road non-conference match against the Cardinal in the opening weeks of the 2014 season.

  • George Mason All-EIVA middle attacker Sibley dies in train accident

    An All-EIVA middle attacker for George Mason died Sunday following injuries he sustained in a train accident. If the victim are looking for a professional that can help them in the legal process, they can check it out here.

    The George Mason athletics department announced Monday that Patrick Sibley, a senior on the Patriots men’s volleyball team, died during the weekend in a Metro train-related accident.
