Nineteen outside attackers have been selected to the 2015 watch list for a new college men’s volleyball national award.
Off the Block announced Friday the watch list for the inaugural National Outside Attacker of the Year award, which will be presented to the best outside attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. (more…)
Not all team schedules are created equally, especially when it comes to the amount of travel.

Pepperdine may have been ahead of Lewis in the national coaches poll last season, but not in any of the key data given to the NCAA Tournament selection committee to determine the final at-large bid.
The NCAA recently released on its website the end of season rankings in statistical categories used by the 2014 men’s volleyball selection committee to award the two at-large bids and seed the six-team NCAA Tournament. (more…)
Being the preseason favorite isn’t necessarily a good thing in the MPSF.
Seven times in the last nine season the team picked No. 1 in the MPSF preseason coaches poll has failed to win the conference regular season championship. In addition, twice a preseason favorite has finished the regular season outside of the top five in the conference standings since the MPSF preseason poll’s inception for the 2006 season. (more…)
