In addition, Rogers led all players with 16 kills on a .481 attack percentage and had a season-high six aces against Loyola in the MIVA Tournament finals. Pepperdine opposite Cole Hartke entered the NCAA Tournament with a nation-best 4.39 kills per game average on a .352 attack percentage and had at least 20 kills in seven matches. Hartke added 13 kills and no errors on a .650 attack percentage as Pepperdine swept Fort Valley State in the NCAA Tournament opening round Friday.

UC Irvine finished with a .390 attack percentage in the opening round against Penn State. What to know: Opposite Gajek Wojciech had a season-high 27 kills on a .489 attack percentage as Long Beach State defeated Hawai’i in the Big West Tournament finals. The freshman enters the NCAA Tournament has double-digit kills in four consecutive matches and is in the nation’s top 20 with a .343 attack percentage. Loyola had three players finish with double-digit kills and at last a .400 attack percentage in its opening-round victory against Saint Francis. Opposite Aleksandar Sosa in his third match back on the court after missing two months because of an injury had a team-high 15 kills and hit. 480. Outside attacker Josh Schellinger also had 13 kills on a .400 attack percentage, while outside attacker Daniel Fabikovic contributed 10 kills and hit .474.

Setter Tread Rosenthal is third in the nation with a 10.63 assists per game average and has guided the Hawai’i offense to the fourth-best attack percentage in the nation at .368. USC outside attacker Dillon Klein entered the NCAA Tournament in the nation’s top 20 with both a 3.89 kills per game average and a .346 attack percentage. Klein also had a team-high 11 kills in an opening-round sweep against Belmont Abbey on Friday.
