75 players to know for NCAA Tournament quarterfinals

There will be plenty of stars on the court for the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

Check out the 75 players to know for all four quarterfinal matches on Tuesday.

Jarrett Anderson, Grand Canyon opposite
Anderson was inserted into the starting lineup in March and has double-digit kills in five of the team’s last eight matches. The graduate transfer from Springfield also has a combined nine aces in the last five matches.

Connor Bloom, Long Beach State outside attacker
Bloom primarily coming off the bench as a serving specialist has seven aces and 23 service errors this season.

Lazar Bouchkov, Long Beach State middle attacker
Bouchkov has a .463 attack percentage and was in the starting lineup until mid-March. The middle attacker did not appear in the final seven regular season matches but came off the bench as a blocking sub in the third game during the Big West Tournament finals against UC Irvine.

Mason Briggs, Long Beach State middle attacker
Briggs, who was named to the U.S. roster for the upcoming FIVB Volleyball Nations League, leads the Big West and is in the nation’s top 10 with a 2.24 digs per game average. The All-American libero also did not commit a reception error in five of the last eight matches.

Connor Campbell, UC Irvine middle attacker
Campbell is in the nation’s top 15 with a 0.99 blocks per game average, including having a season-high eight blocks in a road victory against BYU in January. The middle attacker also is hitting .394 – the third consecutive season Campbell has more than a .375 attack percentage.

Diego Cardona, Fort Valley State libero
Cardona is third in the SIAC and in the nation’s top 25 with a 2.03 digs per game average. The libero has double-digit digs in seven matches, including a season-high 13 digs in a victory against Edward Waters earlier this month.

Ethan Champlin, UCLA outside attacker
Champlin started at both outside attacker and libero during the regular season and is in the nation’s top 20 with a .332 attack percentage. The All-MPSF senior also has double-digit kills in seven of the last 10 matches, including 11 kills on a .429 attack percentage in the MPSF Tournament finals against Grand Canyon.

Ryan Charles, Belmont Abbey outside attacker
Charles has a 96.1 percent successful passing rating and has not committed a reception error in five of the last seven matches. The outside attacker also had six kills against North Greenville in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals.

Chey Cooper, Fort Valley State outside attacker
Cooper is fourth in the SIAC with a 2.32 kills per game average, including having 11 kills on a .400 attack percentage against UCLA in January. The transfer from George Mason also had 10 kills on a .368 attack percentage and a season-high 13 digs in the SIAC Tournament finals against Central State.

Zach Cramer, Belmont Abbey outside attacker
Cramer came off the bench as a serving specialist in Belmont Abbey’s win against North Greenville in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals.

William D’Arcy, UC Irvine opposite
D’Arcy missed the first month of the season but still had double-digit kills in nine matches during the regular season. Among the opposite’s top performances featured 13 kills on a .750 attack percentage in a sweep against Long Beach State in April.

Conner Dahm, UC Irvine outside attacker
Dahm primarily coming off the bench as a serving specialist has a career-high 12 aces and 43 service errors this season. In addition, Dahm had aces in both the Big West Tournament semifinals and finals.

Ido David, UCLA opposite
David is in the top 10 of the MPSF with a 0.39 aces per game average. The opposite also had a team-high 23 kills as UCLA defeated Hawai’i in the NCAA Tournament finals last season.

Saferino Dour, Fort Valley State middle attacker
Dour has not committed an attack error in the last four matches highlighted with having six kills and zero errors on a .600 attack percentage in the SIAC Tournament finals against Central State. In addition, Dour had an ace in the team’s non-conference meeting against UCLA in January.

Jibriel Elhaddad, Belmont Abbey middle attacker
Elhaddad leads the ConfCarolinas and is third in the nation with a 1.30 blocks per game average. The middle attacker has at least five blocks in 10 matches this season, including seven blocks in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals against North Greenville.

Toby Ezeonu, Penn State middle attacker
Ezeonu leads the nation with a .498 attack percentage and has double-digit kills in 12 matches this season. The senior has a career attack percentage of .502 and is on pace to finish second all-time in Penn State history for career attack percentage.

Isaiah Fedd, Fort Valley State outside attacker
Fedd leads the SIAC with a 3.45 kills per game average and is in the nation’s top 15 with a .347 attack percentage. The sophomore also has multiple aces in nine matches this season and leads the nation with a 0.66 aces per game average.

Nolan Flexen, UC Irvine opposite
Flexen after having double-digit kills in six of the first nine matches to start the season was sidelined for more than a month with an injury. The pin-hitter returned to the court for the final weeks of the regular season and has hit more than .300 in each of the last three matches.

David Flores, UCLA setter
Flores has appeared in 21 matches this season primarily coming off the bench to set in specific rotations. The setter joined UCLA in the offseason as a graduate transfer after earning All-MIVA honors with Ball State last season.

Jose Gallardo, Fort Valley State setter
Gallardo had a SIAC-best 7.30 assists per game average and guided the offense to a SIAC-best .274 attack percentage. The setter also had a season-high four blocks in a sweep against Emmanuel in March.

Guy Genis, UCLA middle attacker
Genis primarily coming off the bench has appeared in five matches during the final two months of the season but has multiple blocks in each of those matches. The middle attacker also is hitting .453 highlighted with a season-high 11 kills on a .563 attack percentage in a victory against UC Irvine in February.

Camden Gianni, Grand Canyon opposite
Gianni leads the MPSF and is fourth in the nation with a 0.57 aces per game average, including having a match-high four aces in the victory against UCLA in the MPSF Tournament finals. The opposite also has more than 15 kills in each of the last four matches and is in the nation’s top 25 with a 3.53 kills per game average.

Clarke Godbold, Long Beach State outside attacker
Godbold moving from opposite to outside attacker this season is fourth in the Big West with a 3.31 kills per game average and is in the nation’s top 20 with a .342 attack percentage. The pin-hitter also had a combined six aces and 35 kills on a .347 attack percentage in the team’s two Big West Tournament matches.

Maxim Grigoriev, UC Irvine middle attacker and opposite
Grigoriev is in the nation’s top 30 with a .326 attack percentage and had double-digit kills in eight of the first 10 matches to start the season. The middle attacker also has a combined 10 aces in the last five matches and is among the Big West leaders with a 0.31 aces per game average.

Nathan Harlan, Long Beach State outside attacker
Harlan primarily coming off the bench as a serving specialist this season has 23 aces. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills in two Big West matches and had nine kills on a .500 attack percentage in a victory against Hawai’i in March.

Devin Harris, Fort Valley State setter
Harris has primarily come off the bench as a serving specialist throughout the season. The freshman had aces in four consecutive matches late in the regular season, including a season high three aces in a sweep against Central State in April.

Hilir Henno, UC Irvine outside attacker
Henno is second in the nation with a 4.77 kills game average and has the best attack percentage in the nation of any pin-hitter at .382. The outside attacker has double-digit kills in every match this season and nine matches with at least 20 kills, including a career-high 36 kills against Hawai’i in March.

Cooper Herndon, Grand Canyon libero
Herndon is third in the MPSF with a 1.35 digs per game average and has double-digit digs in seven matches this season. Among the libero’s top performances this season featured 11 digs and no reception errors against Stanford in the MPSF Tournament semifinals.

Jackson Hickman, Grand Canyon outside attacker
Hickman is in the conference’s top 10 with a 2.93 kills per game average and for the third consecutive season is hitting more than .300. The outside attacker also had a team-high 16 kills on a .312 attack percentage in a victory against Ohio State last season.

Jaxon Hicks, Fort Valley State opposite
Hicks was in the SIAC top five with both a 2.71 kills per game average and a .306 attack percentage. The opposite had double-digit kills in seven matches, including a season-high 13 kills and zero errors on a .722 attack percentage in sweep against Edward Waters in March.

Dane Hillis, Long Beach State outside attacker
Hillis has come off the bench as a serving specialist in the last three matches and had a dig in the Big West Tournament semifinals.

Justin Howard, Ohio State middle attacker
Howard has a career-best .447 attack percentage and had a season-high 11 kills while hitting .471 in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals against Lewis. The middle attacker also is in the top 15 of the MIVA with a 0.67 blocks per game average.

John Kerr, Penn State opposite
Kerr leads the EIVA and is eighth in the nation with a 3.94 kills per game average and is in the nation’s top 15 with a .350 attack percentage. The EIVA Player of the Year also has at least 20 kills in three of the last four matches, including a season-high 31 kills against Harvard in the EIVA Tournament semifinals.

Aidan Knipe, Long Beach State setter
Knipe has guided the offense to the fifth-best attack percentage in the nation at .346 and is seventh in the nation with a 10.23 assists per game average. The setter also is in the conference’s top 10 and second on the Beach with a 1.52 digs per game average.

Michael Kowal, Penn State outside attacker
Kowal is fourth in the EIVA and among the national leaders with a 0.38 aces per game average, including having a combined seven aces in the EIVA Tournament. The outside attacker also had back-to-back matches with more than 20 kills in February.

Will Kuhns, Penn State outside attacker
Kuhns finished with nine kills on a .400 attack percentage in a loss to UCLA in January. The outside attacker during the second half of the season has primarily come off the bench as a situational substitute.

Alejandro Leon, Belmont Abbey libero
Leon is seventh in the nation with a 2.30 digs per game average and has double-digit digs in 10 matches, including a 14 digs against North Greenville in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals. The libero also has a combined three reception errors in the last nine matches.

Merrick McHenry, UCLA middle attacker
McHenry is hitting a career-best .570 and has double-digit kills in seven matches, including a season-high 14 kills in a regular season win against Grand Canyon. The MPSF Player of the Year also has multiple aces in 11 matches and defensively is in the nation’s top 15 with a 0.97 blocks per game average.

DiAeris McRaven, Long Beach State middle attacker
McRaven since being inserted into the starting lineup in mid-March has hit at least .500 in five matches, including having five kills and no errors on a perfect 1.000 attack percentage in a sweep against UC Irvine to win the Big West regular season title. The middle attacker also has at least four blocks five times during this late-season stretch of matches.

Sean McQuiggan, UCLA middle attacker
McQuiggan despite not playing in 10 of the first 12 matches ended the season with at least five blocks in six matches. The middle attacker also has a .491 attack percentage and hit more than .500 in four of the final five regular season matches.

Ryan Merk, Penn State libero
Merk leads the EIVA and is in the nation’s top 15 with a 2.12 digs per game average. The 2023 Steve Shondell Award winner as the nation’s top passer also has not committed a reception error in the last four matches.

Joseph Morris, Belmont Abbey setter
Morris is fifth in the ConfCarolinas with a 9.52 assists per game average and guided the offense to the second-best attack percentage in the ConfCarolinas at .279. The setter also is in the top 15 of the conference averaging both 1.83 digs per game and 0.78 blocks per game.

Jacob Pasteur, Ohio State outside attacker
Pasteur despite missing part of the season with a leg injury is fifth in the nation with a 0.57 aces per game average and is in the nation’s top 25 with a 3.54 kills per game average. The 2023 Karch Kiraly Award winner as the nation’s top outside attacker also had a match-high 20 kills against Grand Canyon last season.

Owen Pickering, Ohio State outside attacker
Pickering came off the bench as a serving specialist for Ohio State in both the MIVA Tournament semifinals and finals.

Noah Platfoot, Ohio State setter
Platfoot splitting time this season at setter with Michael Wright helped guide the Buckeyes to the 10th-best attack percentage in the nation at .317. The setter also coming off the bench had a season-high 11 digs against Ball State in March.

Thomas Poole, Ohio State libero
Poole is in the nation’s top 20 with a 2.05 digs per game average and has double-digit digs in eight matches. The libero has committed a combined three reception errors in the last eight matches.

Cole Power, UC Irvine libero
Power is second in the Big West with a 1.99 digs per game average and has double-digit digs in 10 matches this season. The libero also has committed zero or one reception errors in each of the last 10 matches.

Zach Puentes, Belmont Abbey outside attacker
Puentes is fifth in the ConfCarolinas and among the national leaders with a 3.46 kills per game average. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills in all but four matches this season, including a season-high 22 kills on a .439 attack percentage in a victory against Barton in February.

Zach Rama, UCLA outside attacker
Rama coming off the bench finished with a team-high 14 kills on a .550 attack percentage against Grand Canyon in the MPSF Tournament finals. Rama has double-digit kills in five matches this season highlighted with a season-high 21 kills against BYU in February.

Ethan Rehmann, Belmont Abbey middle attacker
Rehmann is sixth in the ConfCarolinas with a 0.86 blocks per game average. The middle attacker also has a career-best .388 attack percentage highlighted five kills and zero errors on a .714 attack percentage in a non-conference match against Pepperdine.

Cooper Robinson, UCLA outside attacker
Robinson is fifth in the MPSF with a 0.39 aces per game average. The first-year starter also leads the Bruins with a 2.63 kills per game average on a .327 attack percentage highlighted by a combined 45 kills in two regular season wins against UC Irvine.

Karter Rogers, Grand Canyon outside attacker
Rogers has double-digit kills in three matches this season, including 10 kills on a .533 attack percentage in a road victory against BYU in February. The outside attacker has not played in four of the last six matches but came off the bench as a serving sub against UCLA in the MPSF Tournament finals.

Owen Rose, Penn State middle attacker
Rose is fifth in the EIVA with a 0.86 blocks per game average and has at least five blocks in three of the last four matches. The middle attacker also is hitting .430 – the second straight season Rose has more than a .400 attack percentage.

Andrew Rowan, UCLA setter
Rowan has guided the Bruins to a nation-best .370 attack percentage and is ninth in the nation with a 10.15 assists per game average. The setter is also in the top 10 of the MPSF averaging 0.36 aces per game and had a season-high six aces in a road victory against Lewis in January.

Michael Schwob, Penn State setter
Schwob splitting time as the starting setter this season with senior Luke Snyder guided the offense to the ninth-best attack percentage in the nation at .317. The freshman also had a season-high fives in the EIVA Tournament finals against George Mason.

Brett Sheward, UC Irvine setter
Sheward is second in the nation with a 10.58 assists per game average and has guided the offense to the eighth-best attack percentage in the nation at .328. The former All-American libero who transferred from Hawai’i to UC Irvine in the offseason also is fourth in the Big West with a 1.76 digs per game average.

Sotiris Siapanis, Long Beach State outside attacker
Siapanis is sixth in the Big West with a 3.16 kills per game average and in the nation’s top 15 with a .350 attack percentage. The outside attacker had double-digit kills in all but three matches during the final two months of the season, including 15 kills on a .500 attack percentage against UC Irvine in the Big West Tournament finals.

Nicholas Slight, Grand Canyon setter
Slight has guided the offense to the nation’s fourth best attack percentage at .347 and is third in the nation with a 10.50 assists per game average. The setter also is fifth in the conference with a 1.78 digs per game average.

Grant Sloane, UCLA opposite
Sloane is in the top 10 of the MPSF with a .307 attack percentage and has double-digit kills in three of the Bruins’ last four matches against top-10 nationally ranked teams. The first-year starter also had a season-high 16 kills on a .583 attack percentage in a four-game victory against Long Beach State in February.

Luke Snyder, Penn State setter
Snyder opened the season backing up Schwob but was inserted into the starting lineup in February. The senior led the Nittany Lions to more than .300 attack percentage in each of his first six starts and started 10 consecutive matches before coach Mark Pavlik in mid-March moved back to Schwob.

Matthew Staskunas, Belmont Abbey outside attacker
Staskunas is seven in the ConfCarolinas and among the national leaders with a 3.22 kills per game average, including having a match-high 17 kills against North Greenville in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals. The outside attacker also leads the ConfCarolinas with a 0.41 aces per game average

Akhil Tangutur, UC Irvine outside attacker
Tangutur had nine kills and zero errors on a .429 attack percentage as UC Irvine swept Hawai’i in the Big West Tournament semifinals. The outside attacker also has a career-high 13 aces and is among the team leaders with a 1.20 digs per game average.

Kyle Teune, Ohio State outside attacker
Teune was inserted into the starting lineup during the second month of the season and has a career-high .282 attack percentage. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills in seven of the last 10 regular season matches.

Raheem Thomas, Fort Valley State middle attacker
Thomas led the SIAC and was in the nation’s top 25 with a 0.90 blocks per game average. The middle attacker had at least five blocks in three matches, including a season-high seven blocks in a victory against Edward Waters in March.

Cameron Thorne, Grand Canyon middle attacker
Thorne leads the MPSF and is second in the nation with a 1.35 blocks per game average, including having a combined 21 blocks in three MPSF Tournament matches. The middle attacker also has a career-best .533 attack percentage and has not hit less than .300 in a match since January.

Matthew Thornton, Grand Canyon libero
Thornton had double-digit digs in two regular season matches. The libero coming off the bench also had a combined two digs in the MPSF Tournament.

Simon Torwie, Long Beach State outside attacker
Torwie leads the nation with a 1.37 blocks per game average and had a combined 13 blocks in both Big West Tournament matches. In addition, Torwie has a .417 attack percentage – the second consecutive year the middle attacker has hit more than .400.

Michael Valenzi, Penn State outside attacker
Valenzi has a career-high 23 aces, including having at least one ace in five of the last six matches. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills in 10 matches this season highlighted with a season-high 14 kills on a .393 attack percentage in a victory against Ohio State in January.

Skyler Varga, Long Beach State opposite
Varga is in the top 10 of the Big West with a 2.92 kills per game average, including having back-to-back double-digit kill performances in the Big West Tournament. The opposite also is in the conference’s top 10 averaging both 0.36 aces per game and 0.92 blocks per game.

Rico Wardlow, Grand Canyon middle attacker
Wardlow has a .498 attack percentage and hit at least .600 in all three of the Antelopes’ MPSF Tournament matches. The middle attacker also has at least five kills in 21 matches this season, including a season-high 10 kills on a .643 attack percentage in a road victory against BYU.

Shane Wetzel, Ohio State opposite
Wetzel is in the top 10 of the MIVA and among the national leaders with a 3.54 attack percentage. The opposite has double-digit kills in 14 consecutive matches, including 19 kills on a .545 attack percentage in a victory against Loyola in the MIVA Tournament semifinals.

Michael Wright, Ohio State
Wright has guided the Ohio State offense to be in the nation’s top 10 with a .317 attack percentage. The setter and Most Outstanding Player of the MIVA Tournament also is sixth in the conference with a 0.36 aces per game.

Cole Young, Ohio State middle attacker
Young is in the nation’s top 15 with a 0.99 blocks per game average, including having a season-high eight blocks in the MIVA Tournament finals against Lindenwood. The middle attacker also has a .429 attack percentage – the third consecutive season that Young has hit at least .400.

Clayton Zimmerman, Belmont Abbey setter
Zimmerman is the only active Belmont Abbey player who was on the roster when the Crusaders last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2021. The senior also came off the bench as a serving specialist in the ConfCarolinas Tournament semifinals and finals.
