The top libero from the SIAC is coming to the MIVA.

Quincy announced via social media earlier this week that Victor Scherer transferred from Central State and will join the Hawks for the 2024 season.

Scherer as a sophomore ended last season leading the nation with a 3.56 digs per game average and had at least 15 digs in 10 matches. The SIAC Libero of the Year also had a combined 36 digs in the conference tournament as Central State advanced to the SIAC Tournament finals.

Along with First-Team All-SIAC honors, Scherer finished the voting in fifth place for the 2023 Erik Shoji Award as the nation’s top libero.

Quincy returns a majority of its starters for the upcoming season after advancing to the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals in 2023.
