Audio: UCLA opposite discusses beating No. 3/3 Penn State in five games

Opposite Ido David finished with a match-high 21 kills on a .390 attack percentage as No. 2/2 UCLA defeated No. 3/3 Penn State 25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25, 15-10 on Thursday in Honolulu.


The Bruins were limited to less than a .225 attack percent in three consecutive games before hitting .571 in the decisive game. UCLA en route to winning the Outrigger Invitational opener closed out the fifth game on an 8-2 run that featured two kills from Ido.
