We have a tie for the No. 2 spot in the Division II coaches poll released on Wednesday morning.

Charleston moved up four spots in this week’s poll to tie Lincoln Memorial for the second spot in the poll. The Golden Eagles are off to the best start in program history (5-0) after sweeping all three matches last weekend at the King University Tournament.

To nobody’s surprise, Lewis maintained their stranglehold on the top spot in the coaches poll, garnering all nine first place votes this week.

Tusculum entered the poll for the first time this year, while King dropped out of the poll.

The IVA led all conferences with three teams ranked in the second poll of 2023, while ConfCarolinas and MIVA both placed two each in the top ten.

16 teams received votes in this week’s poll.

Both NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II men’s volleyball programs compete for the same national championship. The AVCA National Coaches Poll ranks the top 15 Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and is released each Monday during the regular season.

A national voting committee comprised of coaches from the more than 25 Division II teams determines the weekly rankings for the Division II National Coaches Poll.

The Division II National Coaches Poll will be released on the Off the Block website every Wednesday during the regular season.
