No. 6 Pepperdine improved to 2-0 on season after defeating UC San Diego (0-1) in three games on Friday in Malibu, California.

The Waves used an efficient .425 attack led by opposite Michael Wexter’s 12 errorless-kills to dispatch the Tritons. UC San Diego was led by outsider attacker Xander Jimenez’s 10 kills.
The Tritons travel down Sunset Boulevard to visit No. 2 UCLA on Saturday, while Pepperdine travels up US-101 to play at No. 10 UC Santa Barbara next Wednesday.
