Consensus begins to form with Division II Coaches Poll

There is no movement in the new Off the Block/Springbak Division II National Coaches Poll that was released Tuesday morning.

No. 1 Lewis in its only match last week swept USC and win the opening game in overtime 42-40. Lewis now starts MIVA play as it welcomes Lindenwood and Quincy to Romeoville, Illinois, this weekend.

No. 2 UC San Diego split its matches for the second consecutive week as it swept Princeton on Wednesday but lost in four games to Stanford on Saturday. UC San Diego will conclude its home stand against BYU on Thursday and then travel to No. 3 Concordia-Irvine on Saturday.

Concordia-Irvine was swept at Long Beach State on Saturday, but is preparing this week for three matches in a three-night stretch versus UCLA, UC San Diego, and Pepperdine.

McKendree returned from a bye week off and lost at home to former MIVA foe Grand Canyon. The Bearcats start MIVA play this week as the team plays host to Fort Wayne and Ball State.

Rounding out the top five is Lindenwood, which lost to Grand Canyon in five games on Friday and swept Lincoln-Memorial on Saturday. In addition, Lindenwood will face its stiffest competition so far this season with road matches against Lewis and Loyola this weekend.

Others receiving votes were Barton and King.
