MotorMVB will participate in a global day of giving as it moves closer to raising $1 million this year to help grow men’s volleyball.

The non-profit organization announced during the weekend that it will partake in the #GivingTuesday movement with a goal of raising $11,000 from new donors by the end of the year.

#GivingTuesday is annual event that occurs the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and begins the holiday giving season. The movement encourages individuals to improve their communities and to financially contribute to causes they support.

“I invite you to join with me and make boys’ and men’s volleyball a philanthropic priority for you and your family,” John Speraw, the chairman of MotorMVB, UCLA head coach and U.S. Men’s National Team head coach, said in a statement. “In order to seize the moment during this amazing time in the sport of volleyball, we seek your guidance, your contacts and your active support. Nothing is more important than providing opportunities for young people in this country.”
