Postseason college men’s volleyball matches to follow today

The postseason for college men’s volleyball season get continues today with the finals of the inaugural IVA Championship Tournament.

The IVA Tournament was formed earlier this year as a defacto end-of-season conference tournament for independent teams. Check out all the postseason matches today involving NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and how to follow them live.

Players to watch: Coker outside attacker Artur Cabral, who missed the majority of the regular season with an injury, had a team-high combined 26 kills and eight aces in Coker’s two pool-play victories on Friday. Freshman middle attacker Luca Berger also had 12 kills on a .524 attack percentage and a team-high eight blocks in a four-game win against Lincoln Memorial. All-IVA outside attacker Obenda Besongngem finished with a match-high 20 kills on a .444 attack percentage in a five-game victory versus Lincoln Memorial on Saturday to clinch Alderson Broaddus spot in the finals. In addition, setter Benjamin Bravo guided the Battlers’ offense to a .321 attack percentage in that win.

Players to watch: All-IVA outside attacker Josh Riblett had a match-high 15 kills and led Lincoln Memorial with two aces in a four-game loss against Coker to open the tournament on Friday. In addition, All-IVA middle attacker Pedro Carvalho contributed a team-high eight blocks in the pool-play loss. Alderson Broaddus Myles Miller, the 2017 IVA Player of the Year, finished with a team-high four blocks but was limited to three kills in a three-game pool-play loss to Coker on Friday. All-IVA outside attacker Obenda Besongngem also had a team-high 10 kills against the Cobras.
