No. 3/3 BYU (5-2, 3-2 MPSF) vs. No. 9/9 UC Irvine (2-5, 1-4 MPSF)

What to know: With an anticipated large crowd on Homecoming day, No. 9/9 UC Irvine will attempt to snap its losing streak and split a two-match series against No. 3/3 BYU. The defending-MPSF champion Anteaters were swept in the series opener on Friday to extend their losing streak to three matches and dropped into ninth place in the conference standings. In addition, UC Irvine has never lost four consecutive matches since coach David Kniffin took over the program in 2013. BYU All-American opposite Ben Patch in the series opener finished with a match-high 16 kills along with zero attack errors on a .667 attack percentage. The Cougars also out-hit the Anteaters .403 to .190 and committed a season-low six attack errors throughout the match. Despite the loss, outside attacker Kyle Russell had a season-high 14 kills while All-American outside attacker Tamir Hershko added 10 kills. Both teams in the sweep had a combined 31 service errors.

What to know: Grand Canyon less than 24 hours after making a critical late-game error in a loss will now to recover and play No. 13 Lewis to conclude their two-match series. Lewis swept Grand Canyon in the conference series opener Friday in part because of the Antelopes were penalized for an illegal substitution. With the Grand Canyon at a 24-23 game-point in the second game it was called for an illegal substitution that resulted in the score reverting back to Lewis leading 23-22. The Flyers following the call went on a 2-0 run to win the game and would eventually complete the sweep. Lewis in the victory had three players with at least nine kills, including freshman outside attacker Julian Moses who had a match-high 11 kills on a .529 attack percentage. The Flyers also finished with a .410 attack percentage and extended their winning streak to three matches. Middle attacker Christian Ward in the loss led Grand Canyon with eight kills and a .538 attack percentage.
