Video: Cal State Northridge rallies to beat Ohio State in five games

Outside attacker Sam Holt finished with a season-high 27 kills as Cal State Northridge defeated Ohio State 25-22, 23-25, 29-31, 25-21, 15-13 at the Active Ankle Tournament on Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.

Cal State Northridge in its first non-conference victory of the season out-hit Ohio State .273 to .252, including holding the Buckeyes (8-11, 4-4 MIVA) to a match-low .167 attack percentage in the decisive fifth game.

Despite the loss, Ohio State outside attacker Andrew Lutz led all players with a career-high 29 kills. Middle attacker Driss Guessous also added 13 kills and a match-high six blocks against the Matadors (7-12, 6-10 MPSF).
