LOS ANGELES — It’s always a special night when the Bruins face the Trojans on the volleyball court.


The teams entered the match knowing that bragging rights for the rest of the season were on the line. In the end, another chapter to the best rivalry in men’s college volleyball was written Wednesday in the Galen Center and another tally was added to the win column for UCLA against their crosstown foes. Voting underway for OTB/Springbak National Player of Month championship round

Six players based on your votes now have an opportunity to win a college men’s volleyball national award for their outstanding performances in March.

USC setter Gert Lisha, Hawai’i middle attacker Hendrix Mol, Grand Canyon outside attacker Cullen Mosher, Long Beach State libero Andrew Sato, Hawai’i opposite Stijn van Tilburg and Ball State middle attacker Matt Walsh all advanced to the championship round of the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Ohio State squeaks by Long Beach to stay No. 1 in media poll

Ohio State remained atop the media poll following its first loss of the season — but barely did so.
