UCSD opposite Syftestad named Division II National Player of Year
UC San Diego opposite Tanner Syftestad is ending the season with one of the top national awards in college men’s volleyball.
Off the Block announced Wednesday that a nationwide voting committee selected Syftestad as the inaugural recipient of the Flyer Award for the nation’s top NCAA Division II player. (more…)

Lewis, UC San Diego pin hitters named finalists for Division II Player of Year
A nationwide voting committee selected Lewis outside attacker Ryan Coenen, Lewis opposite Mitch Perinar and UC San Diego opposite Tanner Syftestad as finalist for the inaugural Flyer Award.
The Flyer Award, which is named in honor of the NCAA Division II powerhouse Lewis University, is presented to the best player in NCAA Division II men’s volleyball during the regular season. (more…)

Video: Wieczorek leads Pepperdine to critical MPSF sweep of UCSD
All-MPSF outside attacker David Wieczorek once again delivered offensively and moved No. 8/8 Pepperdine a step closer to the postseason.
Wieczorek finished with a match-high 17 kills on a .556 attack percentage and added two aces as Pepperdine swept UC San Diego 27-25, 25-20, 25-15 on Thursday in Malibu, California. (more…)
