New UC Irvine coach Kniffin announces his first recruiting class
First-year UC Irvine head coach David Kniffin has signed his first two recruits.
UC Irvine announced last week that it signed high school seniors Tucker Pikula and Reid Dominguez to letters of national intent to join the Anteaters beginning in the 2014 season.

Speraw era opens for UCLA with preseason victories at USC Fall Tourney
The start of the John Speraw head coaching era at UCLA began on the court and with a winning record.
UCLA in its preseason debut won three of its five matches at the USC Fall Tournament during the weekend, including a 25-17, 23-25, 25-21 against its in cross-town rivals USC on Friday.

UC Irvine to close out regular season with match vs. Penn State
Two teams that met in the Final Four last season will close out the 2013 regular season against each other.
UC Irvine announced Monday its schedule for the upcoming season and revealed that it would play a non-conference match against Penn State in its regular season finale on April 13.

Springfield assistant to join Kniffin’s UC Irvine coaching staff
Kevin Burch after helping guide Springfield to a NCAA Division III championship will now join the coaching staff of the defending NCAA Division I champions.
UC Irvine announced Friday that it hired Burch to be an assistant coach for the upcoming season.

David Kniffin one year after leaving UC Irvine will now return to the school to become its next head coach.

New website endorses Kniffin to be next UC Irvine head coach
A group of UC Irvine alumni and fans are campaigning online for David Kniffin to become the Anteaters’ next head coach.
An anonymous UC Irvine volleyball alumnus recently created the website hirekniffin.com, which is encouraging the volleyball community to contact the school’s hiring committee with endorsements for Kniffin.

Volleyball Magazine reveals 2012 Player of the Year, All-American teams
USC continued to pick up more individual national accolades — almost sweeping Volleyball Magazine’s top three annual awards.
Trojans outside attacker Tony Ciarelli was named the 2012 Volleyball Magazine Player of the Year, while setter Micah Christenson won the Freshman of the Year award. In addition, USC coach Bill Ferguson and former UC Irvine coach John Speraw both earned the magazine’s Coach of the Year honors.
