  • Conference Carolinas announces 2013 All-Conference awards

    The regular season champions Mount Olive earned the most all-conference selections, but Pfeiffer won the biggest Conference Carolinas individual award.

    The league announced Friday afternoon that Pfeiffer outside attacker Caleb Brophy earned the 2013 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    There aren’t as many Friday night matches as usual, but two conference championships can be decided tonight in college men’s volleyball.

    No. 1 BYU eyes getting its first MPSF regular season title in nine years if it can defeat No. 7 UC Santa Barbara. In addition, Penn State plays a non-conference match but can clinch its 15th consecutive EIVA regular season title depending on the outcome of the Princeton-Harvard match tonight.

  • Former IPFW assistant Schmidlin hired as Lees-McRae head coach

    Lees-McRae will have a permanent head coach as it begins postseason play this weekend.

    After having its head coach leave in the middle of the season, Lees-McRae on Tuesday officially named former Cardinal Stritch head coach and IPFW assistant coach Dave Schmidlin as the team’s new head coach.

  • Lees-McRae coach Goodridge resigns to become Buffalo assistant coach

    Days after James Goodridge guided Lees-McRae to one of its biggest non-conference victories in program history he is stepping as the team’s head coach.

    Lees-McRae announced Monday that Goodridge resigned from his position to become an assistant coach with the Buffalo women’s volleyball team.

  • Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year: First Round

    Off the Blocked selected and seeded the 65 players in a bracket, and now it is up to the fans to determine who should win the Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year.

    The Fan Choice Player of the Year recognizes the best individual performances from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players during the season and gives volleyball fans from around the world the chance decide the winner through online voting.

  • Conference Carolinas announces 2012 All-Conference awards

    Pfeiffer after winning its first conference regular seson championship in program history received two of the biggest individual honors from the Conference Carolinas.

    Steve Bintz was named Coach of the Year and outside attacker Quentin Moore earned Co-Player of the Year honors with Limestone outside attacker Scott Warren as the Conference Carolinas revealed its all-conference awards Friday.

  • Lees-McRae coach Goodridge makes AVCA 30-under-30 list

    Lees-McRae coach James Goodridge was recognized as one of the nation’s top young coaches.

    Goodridge for the first time in his coaching career was one of the 30 coaches named to the AVCA Thirty under 30 list on Thursday.

  • My men’s volleyball media poll ballot

    Some times change is not need every week with the national rankings.

    All but three teams maintained the same ranking from last week in the new top 10 media poll that was released Tuesday. The only changes were Ohio State moving ahead of Pepperdine to No. 8 and Loyola replacing Long Beach State for the final spot in the poll.

  • Springfield pounds Lees-McRae in sweep to win Morgan Classic title

    The college that is the birthplace of volleyball is now champions of the oldest college men’s volleyball non-conference tournament.

    Springfield swept Lees-McRae 25-21, 25-15, 27-25 on Saturday in Springfield, Mass., to win the Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic championship for the first time in its program history.
