The non-profit organization provides financial and emotional support to families who have premature babies born 14 or more weeks before their due date. The group that Friend and his wife, the Lewis women’s volleyball head coach, founded during the offseason is name after their 1-year-old daughter who was born premature. Audio: Lewis coach Friend reacts to 5-game road win vs. Penn State

Middle attacker John Hodul had a match-high seven blocks and and added six kills with zero attack errors to help No. 8/7 Lewis beat No. 15 Penn State 28-2, 25-14, 16-25, 19-25, 15-9 on Friday in University Park, Pennsylvania.

Audio: Lewis coach reacts to beating GCU in MIVA quarterfinals

Setter Scott Fifer guided the offense to a .333 attack percentage and added two aces to help the No. 4 seed Lewis defeat the No. 5 seed Grand Canyon in four games on Friday in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals.
