    The turnover in the national media polls continues following another weekend of upsets.

    UC Irvine became a unanimous No. 1 in the newest national media poll released Tuesday afternoon, while Ohio State made the biggest move in the poll jumping up two spots to No. 5.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    It’s been a chaotic first third to the college men’s volleyball season but tonight could provide some clarity — or just add to the chaos.

    No. 2 BYU makes its first road appearance this season as it plays No. 5 Pepperdine in the marquee match of the weekend. In addition, Harvard eyes an upset against No. 6 Penn State in EIVA play.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    It’s all about the East Coast and West Coast tonight in college men’s volleyball.

    UC Irvine and Stanford playing in a match-up between two top-five nationally ranked teams highlights the matches on the West Coast. In addition out the East Coast, Princeton looks to make its case for why it belongs in the national rankings as it opens conference play against George Mason.

    There is a new No. 1 in the national media poll for the first time this season.

    BYU after defeating then-No. 1 UC Irvine during the weekend received all but one first-place votes to move atop to the new national media poll released Tuesday night.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    The spotlight will be on the West Coast as two men’s volleyball matches will be nationally televised tonight.

    No. 1 UC Irvine looks to snap its two-match losing streak as it travels to No. 3 BYU in match that will air on BYUtv. In addition, No. 2 Stanford and No. 7 USC will make history tonight — becoming the first two men’s volleyball teams to play on the Pac-12 Network.

  • My men’s volleyball media poll ballot

    UC Irvine and Stanford received the same amount of first-place votes, but the Anteaters remain atop the new national media poll.

    UC Irvine received five first-place votes and 94 points to finish four points ahead of No. 2 Stanford in the latest college men’s volleyball media poll released Tuesday evening.

  • UCLA finishes home preseason event undefeated

    UCLA’s preseason home tournament could not have gone much better for the Bruins and new head coach John Speraw.

    UCLA defeated Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara on the final day of the SAC Tournament on Saturday to finish the preseason event undefeated.

  • Volleyball Magazine reveals high school All-American teams

    Eighteen incoming college freshmen recruits were among the players receiving one of the nation’s top high school volleyball honors.

    Volleyball Magazine in its August issue released its 2012 Boys’ High School All-American Teams that featured incoming college recruits from 11 NCAA Division I-II schools.

  • AVCA releases 2012 high school boys’ volleyball All-American team

    Twenty incoming college freshmen were selected to the boys’ volleyball AVCA High School Senior All-American Team on Thursday.

    Penn State and UCLA led all teams having three recruits who were named high school All-Americans.

  • Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year: First Round

    Off the Blocked selected and seeded the 65 players in a bracket, and now it is up to the fans to determine who should win the Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year.

    The Fan Choice Player of the Year recognizes the best individual performances from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players during the season and gives volleyball fans from around the world the chance decide the winner through online voting.
