  • Teams release ticket options for 2014 college men’s volleyball season

    The start to the college men’s volleyball season is still a few weeks away, but teams are already beginning the process of trying to fill their stands for the upcoming season.

    While a majority of college men’s volleyball teams do not charge admission for regular season matches, several teams that do charge admission have released their season-ticket and single-match ticket options.

  • BYU, Long Beach, UC Irvine separated by 1 vote atop MPSF poll

    Anyone doubting how tight the race for the MPSF championship could be this season just needs to look at the conference’s preseason coaches poll.

    The top four teams all came within nine votes of each other as BYU and Long Beach State finished tied for first place in the MPSF preseason poll released Thursday afternoon.

  • Video: Preview, analysis to selection of NCAA Tournament host sites

    The future sites for the men’s volleyball NCAA Tournament are about to be unveiled.

    The NCAA will announce Wednesday morning the four schools from the seven finalists that will get to play host to a men’s volleyball Division I-II NCAA Tournament between 2015 to 2018.

  • 2014 Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Preseason All-American Teams released

    A nationwide voting committee selected 21 players to the annual Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Preseason All-American Teams.

    The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Preseason All-American Teams recognizes the NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players projected to be the best in the nation during the upcoming season.

  • BYU signs younger brother of All-American outside attacker Sander

    There will be another Sander at BYU following the 2014 season.

    BYU coach Chris McGown announced Thursday that Brenden Sander, the brother of All-American outside Taylor Sander, was among the five high school seniors who signed national letters of intent to join the Cougars starting in 2015.

  • Finalists selected to host men’s volleyball NCAA Tournaments in 2015-18

    After more than a dozen of bids were sumbitted, it’s now down to seven finalists to host the men’s volleyball NCAA Tournament in the upcoming years.

    The NCAA announced Wednesday afternoon that BYU, UCLA, IPFW, Ohio State, Penn State, USC and Stanford were all selected as finalists to play host to a NCAA Tournament between 2015 to 2018.

  • 10 intriguing sites where to play future NCAA Tournaments

    All the bids are in, but where the men’s volleyball NCAA Tournament will be played in the upcoming seasons remain uncertain.

    The NCAA on Wednesday is scheduled to announce the finalists and potentially the host sites for the 2015-18 NCAA Tournaments. While the NCAA did not reveal the names of the more than 20 bids submitted to host an upcoming men’s volleyball NCAA Tournament, there are several locations that could be ideal venues for the event.

  • World Championship playoff match to follow: USA vs. Brazil

    Following four challenging preliminary round matches, the United States is now in position to secure spot in the World Championship quarterfinals but will have to defeat one of the top volleyball nations in the world to earn the berth.

    The U.S. Men’s Junior National Team will play Brazil in the Round of 16 at the FIVB U21 Men’s Junior World Championship on Tuesday and try to move one step closer to capturing the nation’s first medal at this international tournament.

  • BYU’s Patch pounds Canada in US sweep at World Championship

    In the biggest preliminary round match for the United States, BYU opposite Ben Patch showed why he was an All-American selection as a true freshman.

    Patch had a match-high 19 kills as the United States swept Canada 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 on Monday in Turkey to clinch a No. 2 seed for the playoff round at the FIVB Men’s U21 Junior World Championship.
