Video highlights: No. 6/6 Pepperdine, Wieczorek overpower No. 14 George Mason
All-American outside attacker David Wieczorek had 12 kills on 19 errorless swings as No. 6/6 Pepperdine swept No. 14 George Mason on Tuesday night in Malibu.
The Waves out-blocked the Patriots 8 to 2 and out-hit them .333 to .135. The Patriots were led by opposite Hayden Wagner’s 15 kills. (more…)

Video highlights: USC beats Penn State #CincoSets
No. 11 USC needed five games to pull out a victory in the second match of the Big Ten/Pac-12 challenge on Friday.
The Trojans out-hit the Nittany Lions .377 to .256 and were led by opposite Ryan Moss’s season-best 23 kills (on a .513 attack percentage). Penn State was paced by Brett Wildman’s 16 kills from off the bench.

No. 6/6 UCLA swept crosstown rival, No. 14 USC, on Sunday evening after getting 17 kills from opposite Brandon Rattray and 14 kills from middle attacker Daenen Gyimah. Video: Dominant performance by Gyimah powers No. 4/4 UCLA past No. 9/9 Stanford
https://youtu.be/P0wTsZ3kNDENo. 4/4 UCLA won their opening match of MPSF conference play by defeating No. 9/9 at home in #CincoSets on Thursday night. The Bruins came from behind as they were down two games to one, and also down 23-21 in the fourth game (they came back and won that game, 26-24). UCLA started off slowly in the first game where they had a combined 11 attack errors. Stanford had 17 blocks for the game, 8.5 of which game in the first game. Individually, the Cardinal were led by sophomore opposite, Jaylen Jasper, who had 20 kills on the night. The Bruins, who were without the services of Adam Parks, Brandon Rattray, and Dylan Missry, looked to junior middle attacker, Daenen Gyimah, who had a career-high 25 kills. Gyimah’s previous personal best was 21 kills in the 2018 NCAA tournament final. UC Irvine transfer Matthew Younggren came off the bench to ignite the Bruin comeback with seven blocks. Video: Highlights of No. 9/9 Lewis’ victory over No. 11/10 CSUN
Sets 1-2 Sets 3-5 Despite 24 kills from Ksawery Tomsia and 19 kills from Dimitar Kalchev, No. 11/10 CSUN lost in #CincoSets to No. 9/9 Lewis in Northridge, California on Saturday evening. CSUN freshman setter had 50 assists on the night, a career-best. He has at least 47 kills in five of the nine CSUN matches this season. Neither team attacked at a particularly efficient rate, as evidenced by each team attacking at a .000 clip in one game a piece. The Flyers outhit the Matadors., .274 to .205, when it was all said and done. The Flyers are the top blocking team in the nation, and showed why with. their 16.5 team blocks. Video: Highlights of No. 5/5 Loyola’s sweep of No/ 11/10 CSUN
No. 5/5 Loyola improved to 6-1 on the season, as they defeated No. 11/10 CSUN on the road on Friday night in three games. The Ramblers needed to go OT in the first game that featured 19 ties, before pulling it out, 34-32. Loyola was in control of the last two games where they only committed two attack errors. Loyola outhit CSUN, .387 to .245, while their passing proved to be the difference as shown in the side-out margin (75% to 65%). Opposite Luke Denton led all players with 15 kills, while outside attackers Collin Mahan and Will Tischler chipped in with 12 kills and 10 kills respectively.
