  • Two Pacific players to transfer to Ohio State for 2015 season

    Two current members of the soon-to-be dissolved Pacific men’s volleyball team will transfer to Ohio State following the 2014 season.

    Ohio State coach Pete Hanson announced during the weekend that Pacific outside attacker Peter Edwards and setter Marco Grasso will join the Buckeyes roster beginning in 2015.

  • Preseason men’s volleyball match results from Friday

    It didn’t matter if it was preseason, UCLA and outside attacker Robart Page had a message to send to its cross-town rival.

    Page had a match-high 22 kills and was one of four Bruins with double-digit kills as UCLA swept its rival USC on Friday in Los Angeles to open the two-day SAC Tournament.

  • BYU signs younger brother of All-American outside attacker Sander

    There will be another Sander at BYU following the 2014 season.

    BYU coach Chris McGown announced Thursday that Brenden Sander, the brother of All-American outside Taylor Sander, was among the five high school seniors who signed national letters of intent to join the Cougars starting in 2015.

  • Penn State lands former member of U.S. Boys’ Youth National Team

    A former member of the U.S. Boys’ Youth National Team has officially committed to play for Penn State beginning in 2015.

    Penn State coach Mark Pavlik announced Thursday that high school senior Lee Smith has signed a national letter of intent with the Nittany Lions.

  • Hawai’i gets commitment from highly rated in-state middle attacker

    A top-15 Hawaiian high school recruit will remain on the islands for his college men’s volleyball career.

    Hawai’i coach Charlie Wade announced Wednesday that high school senior Luke Owens signed a national letter of intent to play for the Rainbow Warriors beginning in 2015.

  • Q&A with Mount Olive men’s volleyball coach David Heller

    Months after being upset in the postseason, Mount Olive has not only moved on but is now eyeing a feat never achieved by a Conference Carolinas team.

    Mount Olive coach David Heller said Tuesday in an interview with Off the Block that his team has been eager and more focused during the preseason knowing in 2014 it has a chance to become to the first Conference Carolinas team to reach the NCAA Tournament.

  • Stanford signs two highly touted high school liberos

    Multiple high school player of the year winners and a member of U.S. Boys’ Youth National Team highlights Stanford’s incoming recruiting class.

    Stanford coach John Kosty announced during the weekend that high school seniors Kyle Dagostino, Evan Enriques and Cole Paullin have signed their national letters of intent to join the Cardinal for the 2015 season.
