  • Former IPFW assistant Schmidlin hired as Lees-McRae head coach

    Lees-McRae will have a permanent head coach as it begins postseason play this weekend.

    After having its head coach leave in the middle of the season, Lees-McRae on Tuesday officially named former Cardinal Stritch head coach and IPFW assistant coach Dave Schmidlin as the team’s new head coach.

  • My men’s volleyball media poll ballot

    UCLA was able to defeat UC Irvine during the weekend but wasn’t able to bypass the Anteaters in the polls.

    UCLA following its four-game upset victory jumped one spot to No. 3 and finished one vote behind No. 2 UC Irvine in the newest national media poll released Tuesday.

  • Off the Block unveils new national Server of the Year award

    A new national award will be introduced this season to recognize the best college men’s volleyball server in the country.

    Off the Block announced Monday that at the end of this regular season it will present the inaugural national Server of the Year award to honor the top NCAA Division I-II player from behind the service line this year.

    A weekend of upsets has changed the field dynamic and made things much closer for the selection committee to decide the lone at-large bid and seeding for the upcoming NCAA Tournament in May.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    Seeding for the conference tournaments is starting to come into focus and could be a whole lot clearer after tonight.

    Five of the top six nationally ranked teams are in action tonight, including No. 2 UC Irvine playing host to No. 4 UCLA. In addition, Penn State will play George Mason with a chance to win the out-right EIVA regular season championship once again.
