    A nationwide voting committee selected UCLA setter Micah Ma’a, Long Beach State setter Josh Tuaniga and Hawai’i setter Joe Worsley as finalists for the annual Lloy Ball Award.

    The Lloy Ball Award, which is named after the former Purdue Fort Wayne All-American and U.S. Olympian setter, is presented to the nation’s best setter in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. (more…)

  • CSUN, Lewis, UCLA players named finalists for 2019 National Server of Year

    A nationwide voting committee selected CSUN outside attacker Dimitar Kalchev, UCLA setter Micah Ma’a and Lewis setter Matt Yoshimoto as finalists for the Off the Block National Server of the Year.

    The Off the Block National Server of the Year is an annual award that recognizes the top individual serving performance from a NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball player during the regular season. (more…)

  • Hawai’i duo, UCLA middle named finalists for 2019 International Player of Year

    A nationwide voting committee selected UCLA middle attacker Daenen Gyimah along with both Hawai’i opposite Rado Parapunov and outside attacker Stijn van Tilburg as the finalists for the annual International Player of the Year.

    The International Player of the Year is presented to the best non-U.S. born player in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. This is the only national award in college men’s volleyball recognizing the outstanding individual performances of international players who are pursuing their volleyball career and higher education in the United States.     A nationwide voting committee selected UC Santa Barbara libero Hayden Boehle, UC Irvine libero David Parker and Hawai’i libero Gage Worsley as finalists for the annual Erik Shoji Award.

    A nationwide voting committee selected Hawai’i middle attacker Patrick Gasman, UCLA middle attacker Daenan Gyimah and Lewis middle attacker Tyler Mitchem as finalists for the annual Ryan Millar Award.

    The Ryan Millar Award, which is named after the former BYU All-American and U.S. Olympian, is presented to the nation’s best middle attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. (more…)

    A nationwide voting committee selected Long Beach State outside attacker TJ DeFalco, Hawai’i outside attacker Stijn van Tilburg and Pepperdine outside attacker David Wieczorek as finalists for the annual Karch Kiraly Award.

  • Off the Block unveils 2019 Freshmen All-American Team

    A nationwide voting committee selected 10 players to the annual Off the Block Freshmen All-American Team that was unveiled Friday.

    The Off the Block Freshmen All-American Team honors the top NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball freshmen players from the regular season. This is the seventh year Off the Block has presented the national honor, which remains the only Freshmen All-American Team presented in college men’s volleyball. (more…)

  • Finalists announced for Off the Block National Player of Month

    Off the Block selected the finalists, and now it is up to the fans to determine who should be the college men’s volleyball National Player of the Month.

    The Off the Block National Player of the Month recognizes the best individual performances from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players during the month and gives volleyball fans from around the world the chance to determine who was the best player. (more…)

  • Video: Hawai’i blows through BYU for 20th consecutive sweep

    So much for the notion that No. 2/2 Hawai’i can’t win on the road.

    Middle attacker Patrick Gasman had 10 kills on a .909 attack percentage and a match-high five blocks as Hawai’i swept No. 7/8 BYU 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 to win the BYU Invitational on Saturday. (more…)
