Outside attacker Diego Rosich made sure there was not much suspense about North Greenville being able to repeat as ConfCarolinas regular season champions.
Rosich led all players with 15 kills on a .444 attack percentage and had a season-high four aces as North Greenville swept Emmanuel 25-19, 25-17, 25-18 on Tuesday in Tigerville, South Carolina to clinch the regular season title.
North Greenville en route to its fourth consecutive victory out-hit Emmanuel .330 to .115, including having a match-high .429 attack percentage in the final game.
Rosich was one of three Crusaders with at least both five kills and a .400 attack percentage. Michael de la Cruz had seven kills and hit .400, while Emanuel Adames had eight kills and zero errors on a .615 attack percentage.
Adames also had a match-high six blocks and four aces against Emmanuel (8-19, 3-10 ConfCarolinas).
North Greenville (17-7, 10-3 ConfCarolinas) finished with nine aces – eight more aces than Emmanuel.
Jayden Young in the loss had a team-high 12 kills and was the only Lion with double-digit kills.
The Crusaders as the regular season champions will be the No. 1 seed and have a bye to the semifinals for the ConfCarolinas Tournament. Both the semifinals and finals of the conference tournament will be played at King on April 21-22.
North Greenville, which defeated Princeton in the NCAA Tournament opening round last year, is attempting to become the first team to repeat as ConfCarolinas Tournament champions.
