The Bruins are back atop the national rankings.
UCLA received seven first-place votes to jump one spot to No. 1 in the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released Tuesday.
This climb in the poll comes after the previous No. 1 Penn State lost to Ohio State last week. UCLA edged out No. 2 Hawai’i for the top spot by six points, while Penn State dropped to No. 3.
The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
