No. 13 USC def. No. 9/10 in five games on Sunday night at Galen Center in Los Angeles, 25-19, 18-25, 26-24, 22-25, 17-15. The Trojans were outhit on the night, .369 to .333, but outhit the Cardinal, .600 to .478 in the decisive frame. The Trojans fought off a match point before securing the win on freshman outside attacker Dillon Klein’s 29th kill of the match. Klein had seven kills on errorless swings in the fifth game.
