There is now a consensus No. 1 in college men’s volleyball

Long Beach State following a weekend weekend victory against No. 2 UCLA received every first-place vote to maintain its No. 1 ranking in the latest Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll that was released on Tuesday.

The 49ers are the only remaining undefeated team in the nation and will play the Bruins to conclude their home-and-home non-conference series on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.

A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
