Breakdown of conference tournament seeding scenarios

With the postseason two weeks away, several teams have a chance to clinch postseason berths and a conference tournament seed this weekend.

Check out this breakdown of all the possible clinching scenarios to know.


MPSF
Hawai’i — Can clinch No. 2 seed for MPSF Tournament if it wins both its matches against Stanford this weekend. Can clinch MPSF regular season title and No. 1 seed its four remaining matches or winning three of its remaining matches and a UC Irvine loss.

UC Irvine — Can clinch No. 2 seed if it wins its two remaining matches. Can clinch No. 1 seed if it wins its remaining matches and a Hawai’i loss.

Pepperdine — Can clinch No. 2 seed if it wins its remaining match and UC Irvine loses one of its two remaining matches or Hawai’i loses three of its remaining four matches.

USC — Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins its two remaining matches or if it wins one of its remaining matches and a BYU loss.

BYU — Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins its remaining four matches and a USC loss. Can clinch No. 5 seed if it wins its three remaining matches and a UC Santa Barbara loss.

UC Santa Barbara — Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins its three remaining matches, a USC loss and a BYU loss. Can clinch No. 5 seed if it wins its remaining matches and a BYU loss. Can clinch No. 6 seed if it wins two of its remaining matches.

Long Beach State — Can clinch No. 6 seed if it wins its remaining match and UC Santa Barbara loses two matches. Can clinch No. 7 seed with a win or a Stanford and CSUN loss.

Stanford — Can clinch No. 8 seed if it wins its four remaining matches or if it wins three of its remaining matches, a UCLA loss and a CSUN loss.

UCLA — Can clinch No. 8 seed if it wins its three remaining matches or if it wins two matches, including beating Stanford next week, two Stanford losses and a CSUN loss.

CSUN — Can clinch No. 8 seed if it wins its three remaining matches, a UCLA loss and a Stanford loss or wins two of its remaining matches, two UCLA losses and two Stanford losses.

MIVA
Lewis — Can clinch No. 1 seed and home court advantage throughout MIVA Tournament if it wins three of its four remaining matches.

Loyola — Can clinch No. 1 seed and home court advantage throughout MIVA Tournament if it wins its four remaining matches and two Lewis losses. Can clinch No. 2 seed if it beats Ohio State next week and two other matches.

Ohio State — Can clinch No. 2 seed if it wins its three remaining matches and two Loyola losses. Can clinch No. 3 seed if it wins one of its remaining matches or an IPFW loss.

IPFW — Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins two of its remaining three matches.

Lindenwood — Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins its three remaining matches and two IPFW losses. Can clinch No. 5 seed if it beats Quincy next week and wins one more match.

Quincy — Can clinch No. 5 seed if it wins two of its three remaining matches and three Lindenwood losses. Can clinch No. 6 seed if it wins one of its remaining matches and a Ball State loss.

Ball State — Can clinch No. 5 seed if it wins its remaining match, three Lindenwood losses, two Quincy losses and wins the games won or point differential tiebreaker. Can clinch No. 6 seed if it wins remaining match and two Quincy losses. Can clinch No. 7 seed if it wins its remaining match.

Grand Canyon — Can clinch No. 7 seed if it wins its remaining two matches and a Ball State loss.

EIVA
Penn State — Can clinch No. 1 seed and home court for EIVA Tournament if it beats Harvard on Friday and one more of its remaining matches. Can clinch postseason berth if it wins one of its remaining five matches.

Harvard — Can clinch postseason berth if it wins three of its four remaining matches.

Princeton — Can clinch postseason berth if it wins two of its three remaining matches, a Sacred Heart loss and a St. Francis loss.

CONFERENCE CAROLINAS
Pfeiffer — Clinched No. 1 seed.

Erskine — Clinched No. 2 seed.

Mount Olive — Can clinch No. 3 seed if it wins its remaining match.

Limestone — Can clinch No. 3 seed if it wins its three remaining remaining match and a Mount Olive loss. Can clinch No. 4 seed if it wins its three remaining match.

King — Can clinch No. 4 seed with a Belmont Abbey loss and a Barton loss.

Belmont Abbey — Can clinch No. 4 seed if wins its remaining two match and finishes in tie with Limestone, King and Barton.

Barton — Can clinch No. 5 seed if wins its remaining match and finishes in tie with Limestone, King and Belmont Abbey.

North Greenville — Clinched No. 8 seed.
