Seeding scenarios for upcoming EIVA Tournament

One week remains in the EIVA regular season and five of the six seeds for the conference tournament are still up for grabs.

Check out all the possible conference tournament seeding scenarios for each team.

EIVA Tournament overview

All six EIVA teams qualified for the conference tournament. The top-two teams earn byes to the semifinals, while the other four teams compete in the opening round on Saturday, April 17. For the two opening round matches, the No. 4 seed will play host to the No. 5 seed and the No. 3 seed will play host to the No. 6 seed. The two opening round winners will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, April 22. Both semifinal matches and the finals on Saturday, April 24 will take place at the home venue of the No. 1 seed.

EIVA Tournament seeding scenarios

Penn State
— Can clinch the EIVA regular season title, the No. 1 seed for the EIVA Tournament and home court advantage throughout the conference tournament if it wins one of its two remaining matches or a NJIT loss.

NJIT
— Can clinch the the EIVA regular season title, the No. 1 seed for the EIVA Tournament and home court advantage throughout the conference tournament if it wins both its remaining matches and two Penn State losses.
— Can clinch the No. 2 seed in the EIVA Tournament and a bye to the semifinals if it wins one of its two remaining matches; wins a combined two games versus George Mason during their two-match series; or wins one game versus George Mason during their two-match series and the combined potential differential for NJIT in the series is less than negative-21 points.

George Mason
— Can clinch the No. 2 seed in the EIVA Tournament and a bye to the semifinals if it sweeps both of its remaining matches against NJIT; or it sweeps one match, wins one match in four games and the combined potential differential for George Mason in the series is more than positive-21 points.

Charleston
— Can clinch the No. 4 seed in the EIVA Tournament and home court in the opening round if it wins its two remaining matches; a win and a Saint Francis loss; or two Saint Francis losses.

Saint Francis
— Can clinch the No. 4 seed in the EIVA Tournament and home court in the opening round if it wins its two remaining matches and a Charleston loss; or a win and two Charleston losses.

Sacred Heart
— Clinched the No. 6 seed in the EIVA Tournament
