Audio: U.S. coach praises team’s chemistry at NORCECA Championship

The prospect of players using the NORCECA Continental Championship to showcase why they belong on the U.S. roster for the FIVB World Cup or Olympics has not caused any friction among the team.

Instead, coach John Hawks said he has been impressed with how all the U.S. players have bonded in a short amount of time.

That team chemistry also has contributed to early success at the NORCECA Championship. The United States swept Guatemala on Tuesday to remain undefeated at the international tournament.

Check out Off the Block’s postmatch match with Hawks, who along with being the U.S. head coach for this tournament is the assistant coach at UCLA.
