The 2017 FIVB U19 World Championship is a bi-annual tournament featuring 20 teams from around the globe. The 10-day event begins with a four-match pool-play opening round. The top four teams in each of the four pools advance to the single-elimination stage and the Round of 16. Teams that lose in the single-elimination stage will compete in consolation matches, while the winning teams will remain in contention for the gold medal.
