  • Initial look at upcoming conference tournament matches

    It took the final matches of a four-month regular season to determine all the seeds, but the postseason is now beginning in full force across the nation.

    The Conference Carolinas will have its championship match on Wednesday, while MIVA and MPSF will have their conference tournaments quarterfinals starting Thursday.   • Conference tournament men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    Consider tonight a small sampling of the postseason.

    With most conference tournament quarterfinals matches scheduled for Saturday, Loyola and Quincy will open the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals in tonight’s only postseason match. In addition, Penn State looks to close out its regular season by capturing an out-right EIVA regular season title.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    There aren’t as many Friday night matches as usual, but two conference championships can be decided tonight in college men’s volleyball.

    No. 1 BYU eyes getting its first MPSF regular season title in nine years if it can defeat No. 7 UC Santa Barbara. In addition, Penn State plays a non-conference match but can clinch its 15th consecutive EIVA regular season title depending on the outcome of the Princeton-Harvard match tonight.
