    Changes are coming to Princeton’s non-conference schedule for the upcoming season with more Midwest teams traveling to Dillon Gym.

    Princeton coach Sam Shweisky said earlier this week in an interview with Off the Block that his team will play home non-conference matches against Ball State and IPFW during the 2014 season.

  • Princeton to play road match vs. Cal Baptist in 2014 season

    Two of the nation’s most improved programs in recent years have agreed to play each other in the upcoming season.

    Princeton coach Sam Shweisky said Tuesday in an interview with Off the Block that his team will travel to play a non-conference match against Cal Baptist in January 2014.

  • Volleyball Magazine reveals 2013 Player of the Year, All-American teams

    There is a split decision this year to the National Player of the Year.

    BYU outside attacker Taylor Sander was named the 2013 Volleyball Magazine Player of the Year — one month after the All-American junior lost the AVCA National Player of the Year honor to Long Beach State outside attacker Taylor Crabb. (more…)

    The conference tournament quarterfinals are over and only 12 teams left in the nation control their own fate to reach the four-team NCAA Tournament.

  • EIVA announces Player of the Year, all-conference teams

    For the first time in more than five years, a non-Penn State player has earned EIVA Player of the Year of the Year honors.

    George Mason outside attacker Mark Jones and Penn State outside attacker Aaron Russell were selected as the 2013 Uvaldo Acosta Memorial EIVA Co-Players of the Year, the league announced Friday afternoon.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    There aren’t as many Friday night matches as usual, but two conference championships can be decided tonight in college men’s volleyball.

    No. 1 BYU eyes getting its first MPSF regular season title in nine years if it can defeat No. 7 UC Santa Barbara. In addition, Penn State plays a non-conference match but can clinch its 15th consecutive EIVA regular season title depending on the outcome of the Princeton-Harvard match tonight.

  • Top 10 non-conference matches to hope get scheduled for 2014

    With the calendars turned to April, it not only means the conference tournaments ready to begin but college men’s volleyball coaches beginning to create their schedules for next season.

    There are multiple factors that go into a coach creating their schedule and at times several factors that are out of a coach’s control. However, there are just some non-conference matches that volleyball fans are craving to get scheduled.
