  • Grand Canyon adds transfers from Pacific, Limestone for 2015 season

    An all-conference outside attacker from Limestone will transfer across the nation to Grand Canyon for his senior season.

    Grand Canyon coach Jeremy Prince recently announced that Jon Schaefer was one of two transfers who will join the Antelopes in time for the 2015 season.

  • Conference tournament quarterfinal matches to follow tonight

    The postseason opens with the newest conference in college men’s volleyball taking center stage.

    The Conference Carolinas Tournament kicks off the entire postseason tonight with two quarterfinal matches. Limestone and Barton will face each other with the winner advancing to play the No. 1 seed Erskine in the semifinals, while Mount Olive looks to make another postseason run as it plays host to Lees-McRae.

  • Top 5 college men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    The postseason is getting even closer and several matches tonight will go a long way to determine the conference tournament seeding.

    No. 10 Hawai’i will try to pull off the upset and move a step closer to reaching the postseason as it plays host No. 2 BYU. In addition, Penn State and Harvard will meet with first place in the EIVA on the line.

  • Top 5 college men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    There are critical early-season conference matches from coast-to-coast tonight in college men’s volleyball.

    No. 1 Pepperdine and No. 5 BYU will attempt to stay undefeated in the MPSF as they both play top-10 nationally ranked teams. In addition, not to be overlooked on the East Coast is a match-up between Mount Olive and Limestone, two of the preseason favorites to represent the Conference Carolinas in the NCAA Tournament.

  • Mount Olive picked to win Conference Carolinas championship

    Mount Olive will open its season this week as the official preseason favorite to win the Conference Carolinas championship.

    The defending Conference Carolinas regular season champion Trojans received five of eight first-place votes to finish atop the conference’s preseason coaches poll that was released Monday.

  • Former Lewis player Skweres promoted to Limestone head coach

    A former outside attacker at Lewis’ club team will take over the Limestone men’s volleyball program for the upcoming season.

    Limestone announced earlier this week that assistant coach Brandon Skweres has been promoted to the team’s head coach for the 2014 season.

  • Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year: First-round voting

    Off the Blocked selected and seeded the 65 players in a bracket, and now it is up to the fans to determine who should win the Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year.

    The Fan Choice Player of the Year recognizes the best individual performances from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players during the season and gives volleyball fans from around the world the chance decide the winner through online voting.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    The end of the regular season is here and the finale has the potential for plenty of drama.

    No. 2 UC Irvine and Penn State will met in a possible preview to the Final Four, while Cal State Northridge and Hawai’i continue their push to clinch the final berth in the MPSF Tournament. In addition, Pfeiffer will attempt to repeat as conference champions as it plays Limestone in the Conference Carolinas Tournament championship match.

  • Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

    It’s the final Wednesday of the regular season, and it’s so big it warrants a top-five match breakdown.

    No. 3 UCLA will try to clinch a home match in the MPSF Tournament and remain in contention for the only at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as it plays No. 5 Pepperdine. In addition, the Conference Tournament resumes tonight with both semifinal matches.
