    It’s only the first Saturday of the regular season, but there is plenty of intrigue for volleyball fans with tonight’s matches.

    No. 1 UC Irvine and No. 6 for the second straight year meet in the UC Santa Barbara Invitational championship match, but this time coach John Speraw is on the UCLA sidelines. In addition, No. 2 BYU looks to avoid an upset and remain perfect in the MPSF as it plays a home match against Hawai’i.

    The 2013 college men’s volleyball season begins this week and there are plenty of intriguing non-conference matches to keep an eye on throughout entire regular season.

  • Penn State once again picked as favorite to win EIVA championship

    Conference coaches are picking Penn State to win a record 15th consecutive EIVA championship during the upcoming season.

    The Nittany Lions received six of eight first-place votes to finish atop the EIVA Preseason Coaches Poll released Friday afternoon.

  • Volleyball Magazine reveals high school All-American teams

    Eighteen incoming college freshmen recruits were among the players receiving one of the nation’s top high school volleyball honors.

    Volleyball Magazine in its August issue released its 2012 Boys’ High School All-American Teams that featured incoming college recruits from 11 NCAA Division I-II schools.
