George Mason, Fort Wayne players make Puerto Rico roster for 2017 tournaments

Two all-conference college men’s volleyball players will be a part of the Puerto Rico National Team for two upcoming international tournaments.

Puerto Rico announced earlier this week that George Mason setter Brian Negron and Fort Wayne outside attacker Pelegrin Vargas were selected to its roster for the Pan American Cup and NORCECA Continental Championship. BYU great Sander powers U.S. past Serbia, into World League semifinals

Outside attacker Taylor Sander elevated his play with the United States on the brink of elimination to get the team into the FIVB World League semifinals.

Sander finished with a both a match-high 18 kills and three aces as the United States defeated Serbia 25-22, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22 in a must-win pool-play match on Wednesday in Brazil to qualify for the semifinals.
