The Division II National Player of the Year is awarded to the nation’s best player on a NCAA Division II men’s volleyball team during the regular season. While Division I and Division II schools compete for the same national championship and individual awards, this award is the only national player of the year solely for Division II players. (more…)
A nationwide voting committee selected Hawai’i middle attacker Patrick Gasman, UCLA middle attacker Daenan Gyimah and Lewis middle attacker Tyler Mitchem as finalists for the annual Ryan Millar Award.
The Ryan Millar Award, which is named after the former BYU All-American and U.S. Olympian, is presented to the nation’s best middle attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. (more…)

A nationwide voting committee selected 10 players to the annual Off the Block Freshmen All-American Team that was unveiled Friday.
The Off the Block Freshmen All-American Team honors the top NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball freshmen players from the regular season. This is the seventh year Off the Block has presented the national honor, which remains the only Freshmen All-American Team presented in college men’s volleyball. (more…)

ROMEOVILLE — It kind of felt unfair.
Loyola outside hitter Collin Mahan crushed the pipe at Lewis libero Michael Simmons. Julian Moses jabbed at it to keep it alive and seconds later Mahan got a second stab. Ryan Coenen and Simmons both dove on the floor to keep the play going. Lewis got a solid dig, and Matt Yoshimoto dished out a perfect set to Moses who lit it up cross court. (more…)
It didn’t come easy, but McKendree found a way to win the program’s inaugural home postseason match.
McKendree rallied from a 8-4 deficit in the decisive fifth game to beat Ball State 25-19, 25-22, 25-27, 27-29, 16-14 on Saturday in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals. (more…)
