Lewis to play 2018 home matches vs. Long Beach, USC, CSUN, UCSB

The recent split of the MPSF has already benefitted Lewis with a program record amount of home matches against West Coast opponents.

Video: Early 2018 season preview for new men’s volleyball conference Big West

With the turn of the calendar to July, men’s volleyball today officially became a sponsored sport in the Big West.

The Big West announced last year that it would add men’s volleyball beginning in the 2018 season. The six-team conference for its inaugural season will include CSUN, Long Beach State, Hawa’i, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara. Barton, Mount Olive players reach knock-out stage of European championship

The Conference Carolinas was more than well represented in the knock-out stage of a European championship event.

The Barton pair of Angelos Mandilaris and Vasilis Mandilaris advanced to the Round of 16, while Mount Olive opposite Robert Poole reached the first round at the CEV U22 Beach Volleyball European Championship during the weekend in the Czech Republic. Barton, CSUN, Mount Olive players to compete at European Championship

Four all-conference college men’s volleyball players will compete for a European championship in beach volleyball.

CSUN outside attacker Dimitar Kalchev, Mount Olive opposite Robert Poole and both Barton outside attacker Vasilis Mandilaris and opposite Angelos Mandilaris were all selected to participate at the CEV U22 Beach Volleyball European Championship that starts next week. CSUN, Ohio State, UC Irvine players named National Server of Year finalists

A nationwide voting committee selected CSUN outside attacker Dimitar Kalchev, UC Irvine setter Michael Saeta and Ohio State outside attacker Nicolas Szerszen as finalists for the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Server of the Year.

The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Server of the Year is an annual award that started in 2013 and recognizes the top individual serving performance from a NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball player during the regular season. Video: Long Beach steamrolls CSUN to win co-MPSF regular season title

All-American setter Josh Tuaniga had the offense for No. 1/1 Long Beach State performing like it had done all season long in a sweep that clinched home court advantage throughout the MPSF Tournament.
